XODE is made by a handful of people in Chennai. We are not venture funded and we are not trying to grow quickly — we are trying to make one thing genuinely good.
How we work
Small on purpose
Everyone who works on XODE talks to the people who use it. There is no layer between the person reporting a bug and the person fixing it.
Independent
No outside investment, funded by Pro subscriptions. That means we answer to the people paying us rather than to a growth target.
Slow where it counts
We would rather ship one feature that works properly than four that mostly work. It is why the free tier is genuinely usable instead of a trap.
Built for India first
Pricing in rupees, examples that make sense here, and performance tuned for the connections most of our users actually have.
Where we came from
XODE began because building a decent portfolio was harder than it needed to be. The tools available were either rigid template systems that made everyone's work look the same, or full design software that took weeks to learn.
We wanted something in between: an open canvas that does not fight you, with enough structure that you are not staring at nothing. That is still the whole idea.
What we are working on
- An assistant that can make edits for you, so the canvas is less intimidating to start
- More templates, and better names for the ones we have
- Custom domains for Pro accounts
- Team features for studios and colleges
