Cookie Policy
What we store in your browser, and why. There is less of it than you are probably used to.
Last updated 25 August 2026
The short version
We use no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers. What we store is what the site needs to work — your sign-in, your settings, and your unsaved work.
What we store
| Name | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in token | Keeps you signed in between visits | Until you sign out |
| Your projects | Local copy so the editor works offline and nothing is lost on a refresh | Until you delete them |
| Editor settings | Zoom, grid, panel positions | 1 year |
| Anonymous visit id | Counts a repeat visit without identifying you | 1 year |
| Dismissed prompts | Stops us showing the same notice repeatedly | 1 year |
Most of these are localStorage rather than cookies — the same idea, but the data stays in your browser and is not sent with every request.
Third parties
Two, both necessary:
- Google Sign-In sets cookies on Google's own domain when you sign in. These are governed by Google's policies, not ours.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces the site uses.
We run no analytics service, no advertising pixels, and no social tracking. Usage counting is done on our own servers.
Turning it off
You can clear or block all of it from your browser settings. Be aware of what that costs you here:
- You will be signed out and will need to sign in again
- Any project not synced to your account will be permanently lost
- Editor preferences reset to defaults
This is the strongest reason to sign in: signed-in work is saved on our servers as well, so clearing your browser costs you nothing.
Changes
If we add anything to the table above, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it.
